He works as a bioinformatician in the <em>Escherichia coli<\/em> team. <br>After having spent several years carrying out <em>in silico<\/em> analyses, he has extended his activity to <em>in vitro<\/em> studies, with the implementation of cell culture projects. Initially studying <em>P. aeruginosa<\/em> (Interaction between <em>P. aeruginosa<\/em> type IVa pili and effectors of the immune system, role of the <em>P. aeruginosa<\/em> Cys operon in corneal infections), he is now evolving toward <em>E. coli<\/em> (see latest news). Eric is also working with different animal models. When focusing on the analysis of large genetic and genomic data, Eric goal is to process genetic, genomic and clinical datasets to identify and target discoveries with the greatest potential for clinical utility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"128\" height=\"128\" src=\"http:\/\/tnroetk.cluster028.hosting.ovh.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/eric-frapy.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-485\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-very-dark-gray-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Last News<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-very-dark-gray-color has-text-color\">Having extending his skill set, his main work is now to combine bioinformatics, high-throughput sequencing, in vitro and in vivo experiments to help developing a systemic approach to unveil antigens of interest expressed by pathogenic bacteria, in particular <em>E. coli<\/em> K1, to develop multivalent vaccines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-very-dark-gray-color has-text-color\">In parallel, Eric is still analyzing big data sets generated by the TnSeq.
