Audrey Laurent

Audrey Laurent obtained her master’s degree from the Magistère Européen de Génétique at Université Paris Cité and joined the team in January 2021 to pursue her PhD under the supervision of Mathieu Coureuil. Her research focuses on the endothelial cell response to Neisseria meningitidis adhesion, specifically examining and imaging the reshaping of the endothelial plasma membrane during bacterial adhesion, both in terms of its structural dynamics and its role in pathogenesis.

Beyond her research, Audrey is actively involved in science communication and outreach, having participated in a doctoral mission at Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie (2021–2023) and the Ma Thèse en 180 secondes contest in 2024. She is also engaged in the life of the Necker Institute, serving as president of the HappyNEM association.
